Hello and welcome to my shop! My name is Arwen, and I'm a nature enthusiast who loves to spend time among the trees and fields, drawing inspiration from the beauty of the natural world. When I'm not gardening or foraging, I'm busy crafting unique, handmade items that reflect my love for nature. Each of my creations is a piece of art, whether it's a felted mushroom aka 'Mushlings' with its own personality, a delicate watercolor painting, a clay piece pressed from wild flowers, or a lovingly sewn doll. I'm deeply inspired by the environment around me, and I strive to capture its essence in every item I create. Thank you for visiting my shop and sharing in my passion for nature-inspired art.
My Story
My journey with crafting began when I was about seven years old, sewing on an old Singer sewing machine that didn’t even use electricity. I would make little bags for my adventures, filling them with random items I thought I’d need. Years went by, and in my early twenties, I started sewing again, this time with a small electric sewing machine.
After meeting my partner, I moved into a touring caravan and opened up my business, initially named "Crafted by Candlelight," because I often worked by the warm, gentle light of candles. I designed and made bags and other sewn items, pouring my heart into each creation.
Six years later, I had twins and my business took a pause. But last year, I reopened and began designing and sewing handmade dolls, felting mushrooms, and even ventured into watercolor painting. I’m loving every minute of being back at work, creating things that bring joy to others.
There’s a peace I find in my heart when I’m working with my hands. There’s something magical about capturing the beauty of the world around me in creations that others can cherish. Thank you for visiting my shop and sharing in my journey. See you soon!
